When the rowers led the pageant down the Thames on Sunday our intrepid rower, 73 year-old Terry Coging, had already rowed half the Channel distance on his Concept 2 rowing machine. It was pouring down outside but in Weston Village Hall there were no damp spirits as Terry completed his challenge in the record-breaking time of 2 hours 21minutes. Amazing!! And the relay team were only 3 or 4 minutes ahead. They pulled together powerfully to make this a very exciting day and to make heaps of money for The Moira Fund – we are still counting! We are so grateful to them all, Terry, Ian, Andy, Matt, Mark, Mike and to Phil, organiser in chief. A huge thank you.
There’s still time to sponsor Terry and the team – click here
