Requests from Families

Friday, October 29th, 2010

In September and October, The Moira Fund responded positively to a number of requests from bereaved families in Renfrewshire, Lancashire, Tyne and Wear, East Midlands, West Midlands, Berkshire and Surrey.  Thanks to the generosity of our many supporters we have helped with travel and accommodation costs for court and funerals, appropriate clothing for court, access to bereavement support meetings, specialist trauma counselling and extra funeral expenses.

The Moira Fund Autumn Ball

Friday, October 8th, 2010

The Moira Fund Autumn Ball took place on 2 October 2010 at the Radisson, Glasgow where a wonderful time was had by all – super food, music and entertainment.

Ticket sales were down on last year but we were overwhelmed by a wealth of magnificent prizes for auction and the raffle and by the warmth and generosity of all our guests.

Once again we have raised an amazing amount of money and we want to thank all who contributed to the success of the evening in so many different ways.
